• The Heartleaf extract (houttuynia cordata, chameleon plant with the characteristic heart-shaped leaves) is known for its anti-inflammatory and soothing action. Anua only uses ingredients from leaves grown and harvested in Korea. Heartleaf (scientifically known as houttuynia cordata) is a flavonoid and flowering plant native to Southeast Asia. Due to its antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, Heartleaf is traditionally used for medicinal purposes. The raw leaves and extracts of the plant are consumed to purify the blood and relieve inflammatory conditions in the body. Also, the leaf extract has astringent properties that can effectively (but gently) deep clean pores while regulating excess sebum production.
